AMEG LODGE KILIMANJARO is situated within the Moshi region and is a 5 minute drive from the town center.

Moshi is a small town with a population of approximately 200,000 people. The town is well known as a coffee trading center as well as for its proximity to the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

There are various interesting day activities available from here. Visit the Ngoma Waterfalls (50m high) or the less dramatic Marangu Falls which also provides a great picnic site. Lake Chale is well worth the visit being only a 45 minute drive from Moshi. Various different treks and horseback safaris up the Mt. Kilimanjaro slopes can be arranged. Alternatively, you may opt for a scenic flight and aerial tour of Mt. Kilimanjaro. In addition to this, Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, and Manyara National Park are in close proximity to AMEG LODGE and are ideal destinations for day excursions.

Kilimanjaro International Airport is the closest to Moshi Town and a half hour drive away. Domestic flights also use this airport providing easy access to most of the game parks and towns as well as Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Nairobi, and Mombasa.

Moshi is also a stop on the intercity bus route providing a convenient and economical way to travel around the country. Shuttle buses also operate daily between Moshi and Nairobi via Arusha.
