The spice island of Zanzibar lies off the coast of Tanzania in the Indian Ocean (see map). It offers magnificent, white, sandy, palm-fringed beaches, with warm, clear blue waters. Conditions are ideal for snorkeling, diving, deep sea fishing, and various other water sports. Lazing around on the sun-drenched beach can be just as much fun!
